JC Wolschon Photography

It started years ago when I was in high school in Clinton Township, Michigan. I got hold of an antique ‘Brownie’ camera and started taking pictures of my friends and the world around me. As my passion in imagery continued to grow, I grew out of that old Brownie, and a dozen or two other cameras over the years. I now own a couple Nikon DSLRs that come with me pretty much everywhere I go. (My wife teases me about needing a 12 step program to help me with my photographic addiction.)

My home is in Redford Michigan, the “Gateway to the Suburbs”. It is a great community of friendly people that has a ‘small town’ feel to it. I enjoy gardening, so my house is surrounded by thousands of flowers, many of which end up in my photos. Redford is located right next to the City of Detroit, where I spend many hours chasing my photographic passion, getting images of the beautiful architecture and people. Belle Isle (in Detroit) is another favorite haunt of mine, with a beautiful fountain, the arboretum, and a great view of the Detroit skyline.

Whether it is a wedding, a senior portrait, or a family gathering, it has been a blessing and a joy to meet new people while I capture moments of their lives that will last forever. I really enjoy seeing people smile when they look at the images I took for them.
